getting a weird error when I try upload 5Dii files to my vimeo AND youtube accounts now? I uploaded videos last weekend to vimeo no problem (with the new firmware) but now this week I've got an issue?

the videos are 366~520mb which are all under the 1gb yt limit and they're all well under the 10minute max timelimit... Not sure what vimeos file size/time limits are, but I'm under my upload cap and it's still throwing the error?

vimeo:

FAILED!
There was a problem converting this video! Please review our compression guidelines.

General compression guidelines for Vimeo

*
Codec

Choose H.264 for the video codec. Choose AAC for the audio codec.
*
Frame rate

This is usually 29.97 for USA/Japan/Canada, while in Europe and rest of the world it's usually 25. If there is an option that says "current" just go with that.
*
Keyframes

Every 30 frames. This is basically how often the compressor references your uncompressed video.
*
Data rate

1800 kbits/sec for standard definition 4:3 video , 2500 kbits/sec for widescreen DV, or 5000 kbits/sec for high definition. Making these numbers higher will increase both quality and size.
*
Size

640x480 for standard definition 4:3 video, 872x480 for widescreen DV, or 1280x720 for high definition. It is also best to export 1920x1080 or 1440x1080 video as 1280x720 too.
*
Deinterlace

Yes. If you do not deinterlace, you will often get weird-looking horizontal lines in your video.
*
Sound sample rate

44.100 kHz
*
Audio quality

You want audio with a bit rate of 128 kbps. You can set your audio to really good quality without increasing file size too much.
* Those are the basic principles that will apply to almost all of the video programs out there. Eugenia, an active member in the Vimeo community, has made some tutorials for specific programs that you can view:

This message means that your video is in a format that our converters don't recognize. Try converting the video into a different format with a converter or editing program and then uploading it again.

here's a successful vimeo upload from last Sunday (shot with the new firmware):

The only difference I can see is the file size?

I'm not uploading anything from my 5DII as big as you are to Vimeo. However, I have only been able to upload to Vimeo directly using the MOV file right from the camera(no editing) or creating a Windows media file(Adobe Photoshop Edit) using 720P. Vimeo will not take an interlaced video so everything uploaded has to be in P mode.

Try posting your question here.

All these guys talk about is using the 5DII for video.

^ I got it to work outputting a "large" version from iMovie, but it's just odd it worked last weekend and not now? The only difference is the file size as far as I know....
