RAF rescue of an injured person (I don't think she was seriously hurt), taken at Bamburgh, all with 1Ds MKII and either 200mm F2.8 or 135 f2 lens.

Incredible shots, Les. I was lucky enough to witness an exercise recue down at Land's End a couple of years ago, but I wouldn't have dreamt of getting photos as good as yours.

Superb setting as well, I bet you weren't expecting this to happen!

No, it interrupted my afternoon's shoot of the castle ;)

Luckily, I had a couple of longish lenses in my bag at the time, so was able to get some reasonably close shots.

The one I particularly treasure is the shot with Bamburgh Castle in the BG.

I know it was one in a million circumstance, just pleased I was able to get a few decent shots :)

Nice photos! Love how blue the water is.

EDIT: I kept reading and saw you named the castle.

Those are really nice shots. Well done.

Quite a spectacular series and yes, number 5 is the winner.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.

Stunning shots!

Have you tried contacting the RAF News to see if you can get them published?

#5 is awesome. High tech in the foreground and ancient in the background.
