I drove to Bickleton, WA this morning. Bickleton is supposedly the "Bluebird Capitol of the World", and the town has a population of about 90. It sits on a high praire about 15 miles North of the Columbia River Gorge at about 3000 ft. elevation. I saw probably at least 100 mountain bluebirds within a couple hours of driving the back roads. Lots of flowers were blooming, and there was a lot of construction going on with the building of windmills (the giant modern machines).
I attached some shots of a male and female bluebird with breakfast for the chicks, YUCK. I also included a couple windmill shots in the area too.
Thanks for looking!
Mike
