Still not sure. I would like to have this version, but if I get the other one, that means I don't have to buy a fourth CPL filter. I mean, I can't really go wrong with either one really ( I think), but I'm leaning towards this one, as it gives me a slightly faster lens, but then I'll have to get a fourth CPL. Hmmm.....I think the final decision will be made when I know how much money I have to spend on my new gear. Should now in a month.....hehe.....I hate having to wait. ;)

I just picked up a copy from eBay - I was debating between this version and the 4 - 5.6, but the price of this one won me over. Looking forward to posting a few sample pics here.

EDIT - so much for that. :( The lens arrived with the autofocus whacked (hunting and making a clunking sound). Sending back to seller tomorrow.

Couple of wide open sample images on FF, 10mm & 20mm. Focus is a bit off on the 10mm shot, only the right eye is in focus. I couldn't get another shot since the cat started to get pretty annoyed.

Excellent shots here folks. This lens looks like a promising candidate for my WA zoom.Just wondering why there is such a lack of traffic here.Seems like this would be more popular than the slower 10-20.

Because it performs worse in zoomed in range and CR is pretty bad. It performs better at wide open, but probably needs to drop down to f8 to get very sharp images. So, if you are going to use this on tripod, why not go with the cheaper one?

That said, I am getting this one.:)
