I just started playing with an XTI and a 760 nano filter . [EFS 17-55 - iso 400 - f 5.6 - EV 15 - started working at 1 minute , 1 1/2 and 2 .] I used a tripod and canon's intralval timer . Focus set at infinity .
It took a while to figure out I had to set on bulb . Manual with timer only work in bulb mode .
After shutter closes , it takes about a minute for camera to load picture to card .
I had a redish or pinkish cast to the shots .
Looking for answer to either remove or shoot so I don't get the color cast .
The batteries ran low . Add , subtract other filter , R-72 filter is coming .
Has anyone tried a cross screen with IR ?
The pictures are with the filter and without .

Thanks , I have seen IR shots that did not have the cast .
I am on a mac and have CS3 extended . I really have not played with it except for auto in raw and resizing to post on web .
I didn't know if I had camera set up wrong , cast is normal with IR filters , could maybe at a filter or what .
I did post this in 3 different spots , no area just for IR .
Thanks again .

The colour cast can be removed using channel swap in channel mixer in CS3, or by using an action, I use one by Khromagery but channel mixing is not difficult. I am shooting with a modded camera, sample below.

Alternatively just do a greyscale conversion and process as a normal b&w, again sample below.

Thanks , I played with it in photoshop . I tried channels , could not find channel mixer .
Curves changed a lot , but still not what I wanted .
I just saw I didn't change number - I always save to desktop and move or trash later .
