Hi,

I am looking to buy the 70-200 F2.8 IS, the price at B&H now with Canon rebate is 1599. I read in the forum that someone can get it for $1400 with some coupon. Does anyone know where I can get those coupons?

Thank you very much.

Not aware of any B&H coupon lately, but you can get that lens on eBay and live.com (or bing.com) cashback for around $1400 or so.

I see someone mention the cashback also ... how can I get the cashback? Is it the same as the rebate? I know there is a Canon $200 instant rebate, it is listed $1799 at B&H, and so, it is now $1599. Do you mean I can find something around $1600, then with the $200 rebate/cashback brings it to $1400?

I think the B&H price is inflated and they`re keeping the 200 rebate.

Where would you suggest to buy this lens? I am reluctant to buy a 1500 lens from an unknown seller from eBay ... thanks.

Many of them are not unknown. They have a website and also sell on ebay.

1) Visit www.bing.com (external link)
2) Sign-up for an account
3) Sign up for cashback
4) Buy lens from eBay with "Buy It Now"
5) Pay with paypal (Should get 8% cashback)

total for lens: $14xx depending on seller

Note: Make sure you buy from seller who is selling you a US model with Manufacture's warranty etc. If in doubt of "Authorized Canon Dealer", just call Canon direct and ask them for info on the dealer.

$1400 for a brand new one is highly unlikely. The best price for new is probably ~$1470 from reputable dealer like BH or Adorama.

Yes you can and no, it will not be with B&H or Adorama (with those 2, you can't even get them for under $1599).

With Bing.com 8% cashback and ebates 3%, you can get it for less than $1400.

Yes they do. There's a thread in this forum on how to do it. It takes 90 for ebates to give you the money.

I did it, got instant live.com cashback and now waiting for ebates. I missed my company's 2% rebates as well that would put it even lower. ;)
