Caught this Wagon in Driver, VA. today.. I'm hoping I got the year and name right on this one. If anyone knows that its incorrect please post the right one for me.

Very nice looking and clean car... Love the dice knobs on the radio...

The year and make is correct, but it's a 'Fairlane' Station Wagon - Mercury used the 'Parklane' moniker. Those red rims and full moon hubcaps are aftermarket, and not original. Nice captures btw ! ;)

Randy, Gear - 3 in the green, and a T5i with a few lenses !

wow - memories - as a kid we had a (right-hand drive) 1955 model (the chrome strip on the side was straight) and it had the name 'Ranchwagon' on the side.

Cool seeing one in such good condition.

That's one gorgeous motor, and a cracking series of images.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but the description is correct. This was a one year only model built by Ford to compete with the Chevy Nomad. The Parklane was a 2 door Ranch Wagon with Fairlane trim to make it more upscale. Mercury resurrected the Parklane name in the 60's.

My parents had a '56 Ford Fairlane with a 312 cubic inch Y block V8. It was rated at 225 hp, dual exhausts, 4 barrel carb.
