My laptop has an "R" key that has shifted in the keyboard, and sometimes it does not click. I keep forgetting about it and dont re-read my posts. Fixing...

On my last laptop the backspace key died, it was really annoying to try and delete things. :p

I got brushed off when I was looking for a 1DMk3 once at a local shop (Henry's for those in Canada). I had called ahead and asked it to be set aside, guy gave me his name and everything but when I showed up he had no interest at all. I'm a young guy, 26 years old and dress casual (ball cap, jeans, skate shoes) and he totally blew me off... wouldn't take the camera out of the box to let me see it and test it. Eventually I walked over to a guy in a different shirt that looked like a manager, told him I wanted the camera, paid cash and when asked who helped me I just said "nobody".

Another time at a different location I had bought a 100-400, took it out to shoot with it and it was quite soft so I returned it the next day. The lady hooked it up to one of their display cameras, fired a picture and looked at the LCD... no zoom, pixel peep or anything and said "Must be your camera, this looks fine to me".

I like to harass photography store clerks AS WELL as computer store clerks by asking for something I know they don't have so I can feel good about myself.

I try and avoid the stores in England. Jessops (probably the BH equivalent, but 10x more expensive) only hire staff with just above zero knowledge of photography, and can only just tell the difference between a DSLR and a video camera.

Some of the stories i have heard about 'in store' experiences at these places are ridiculous.
