Guess you could say this is my first "official" post besides commenting on others photos. Still trying to figure out what all the rules are on here and what not, there's a lot of them. Anyway, here's my first pic post from a shot I had a couple weeks ago. I'm sitting down and now ready for comments so please start slingin' them.

this little guy is in every way a farmer as I couldn't keep up with him to the hay loft and then back between the cows.

Thanks,

Ferris Wheel

here's my rookie opinon. they both appear under exposed on my laptop. the second one I would also crop more of his bum off. I really like both of these and with just a little more work they will be great. He is a very cute model.

I agree, they are a little underexposed but they could be fixed in photoshop with a levels adjustment. Do you shoot raw? If not, try it. It gives you a little more lattitude in saving shots although you dont want to get lazy thinking you can fix it in post.

Prefer the first to the second shot... don't want to comment on exposure or white balance as this monitor at work is as far from good/calibrated as it is possible to get... Thanks for sharing

They arent bad shots, but I would up the exposure, contrast, and saturation levels.

Agree with the previous posts... The first image could be a nice portrait with some basic processing. The second is a nice snap shot...

I dunno...It does look a bit under exposed, but what I remember of barns is they're dark, dirty, musty places. I think the under exposure really fits the mood of the shot.
The only question is was it meant to look like that?
BTW, I concur with the crop suggestion in #2
Great work!

image editing is now enabled. Some comments on the above posts..
Yes, the barn was so dark. They were shot in RAW. I do not know photoshopt yet (just a beginner in photography) but taking a class in that is my next step. The work I did to them was minimal but in lightroom. Thanks for all your comments.

If you have photoshop dont wait on a class. Just google photoshop tutorial. There are tons of youtube videos that show you how to do different adjustments and tweaks. Best part is, its free.

I think I was a bit afraid to take the exposure that far. Great job Ryan! What is a DPP Program as mentioned above?
