Colonial Camera is one of the few reputable dealers there.

Man...i went to some of those Orlando camera shops and all the ones I went to were crap. The ads they post in the coupon books show pictures of nice lens but when you get there....there's nothing good.

Nothing good inside those stores...the prices they advertise is more than what you can get online. Also, you might see a % off coupon floating around but they jack the prices up so that when you use the coupon, its back to retail pricing anyways. Be careful when you buy at those shops. yeah there might be some good shops but all the ones I went to were crap and the people hardly spoke English.

Most Orlando stores are targeted towards tourists. A lot are geared towards ripping off the tourists since they won't be in town to complain.

Colonial is the place to shop. There's another shop on Orange in WP that has been good to me, but Colonial is great.

Colonial Photo and Harmon Photo are the only two that I do business with. STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING ON INTERNATIONAL DRIVE OR THE TOURIST AREA'S!

Colonial and Harmon are in relative short proximity to each other (about a mile) and both have great salespeople to assist. For what it's worth, I purchased my 5D Mk II from Harmon due to the deal.

While in Orlando, check out the Orlando Camera Club at www.orlandocameraclub.com (external link) and if you're able attend one of the meetings there while in town. They are a great group of photogs and really have quality meetings where you can learn and connect with like minded individuals.

What are you looking to take shots of?
