OK, thanks for opening. Now you're here, tell me - what you think of this little catch? Is it a keeper or should I throw it back?

throw it back. It is JUST a tad too small (still going with the caught fish metaphor). The black grass(?) or is it hair(?) ruins it for me and hides part of the subject. If you'd been an inch taller(higher) or a bit more to the right then this one would be a keeper.

A photo I took HERE published in National GeographicTime on your hands? Then HERE'S plenty more photos to nibble on (external link):

i dont mind the grass in the foreground. i would rather see the entire pole. it gets chopped, and that, alone, lets this one off the hook for me.

Straightening...lol. Every time I straighten the horizon, I hang the picture crooked.

I love it except I wish there was more in the photo! I hate that the pole is out of frame...other than that it could be awesome. I could see this looking nice with an antique effect.
