does rubbing alchohol work for oily brushes?

I purchased the Arctic Butterfly for my sensor, and immediately found out it was contaminated with oils. I searched online, and it seems people use rubbing alchohol to clean off the oils from the brush and plastic case. My questions are:
1)should i spin the brush in rubbing alchohol and let it dry? or should I rinse it off after with the brush cleaner and/or distilled water?
2) would rubbing alchohol work with getting oils off of the lenspen brushes?
If there is a better method, please elaborate. thanks.

I would try and use some CRC Quick Dry electronic cleaner as it cleans and leaves no residue. Any electronic cleaner will do. I heard that if you get sensor oil on the Arctic Butterfly brush you need to buy a new one. I would try the electronic cleaner as you have nothing to loose if it doesn't get it all off.

Isn't rubbing alcohol a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and mineral oil? I'd think the electronic cleaner or a pure isopropanol if I was going to try it.
