We had a car show & BBQ at our church for Father's Day and to keep the gulls away (from messing up the cars) we had a falconer bring three Harris Hawks and they did a fabulous job. The gulls circled but wouldn't come within 100 yards. This was taken with my 24-105 birding lens, but I did replace the BG :)

Nicely done Scott, the feather details are really well done... I was wondering when I saw your title, how a Harris got far into the northland.....:)... always enjoyed seeing the large numbers on trips to Arizona.

Do I presume then that the Hawks are car trained so they don't despoil the shiny motors :D

Nice shot by the way.

Nice shot Scott. I never noticed before, but that beak and yellow covering looks a lot like a vultures.
