ACR default settings question -- RAW, Post Processing & Printing in photography-on-the.net forums

To process the raw files from my 30D use Adobe bridge > ACR > photoshop CS3.

I quite often leave the ACR settings alone and just open the file and tweak the curves etc in photoshop, but are the default settings in ACR already adding some sharpening/contrast etc or just leaving the raw file alone and opening it in it's original state in photoshop?

The default ACR settings, if you haven't changed them, do make some adjustments, including sharpening, even if you do nothing yourself in ACR. Here's a thread addressing some of the issues:
