A few images from the WSB round at Donington this week-end, all taken with 300mm plus 1.4x or 2x converter, from behind the prison fencing!!

They're all great shots, sharp and well exposed, especially as you say you were shooting through the fence.

However the first shot of Spies is exceptional, but I suspect you already knew that. ;)

Nice shots! I see that in your sig you have a 500mm Sigma, but chose to use your 300 with a converter ....? I just spent the weekend at a Road Atlanta shooting bikes with a 70-200 2.8 IS and I was wanting more tele.

I thought I got some good shots, but after seeing these makes me want to delete mine. LOL!

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, yes I was quite pleased with most of the results. They looked fine for colour/contrast on home PC but viewing them on my office PC today they look a bit washed out. How are they for you?

You know I bought the 300mm from USA when USD/GBP was 1:2 with the intention of selling my 500mm and did share the practice days with each lens. I think I got more keepers from the 300mm but for some reason I just cannot part with the Sigma even though it spends most of its time in my bag. Just to complicate things I am also testing out the Nikon D90 with a Sigma 150-500.... decisions, decisions!!

They are great shots. Funny you should mention the colour, as they look slightly flat here. However, this machine hasn't been set up for any kind of colour so I'm sure it's just that.

Nice shots peeps. It's difficult behind that fence not least as there seemed to be more hoardings completely blocking the view unless you were up on the embankments. The racing was cracking and the marshalls on old hairpin had a lucky escape as a bike cart wheeled over their station, on the plus side it saved them wheeling it off!:p

Sweet series peeps, my only critique may have more to do with my monitor but it seems like a few can use a levels adjustment to really get them to pop.
