So I was out on my bike the other day with my camera. I had it with the original canon strap on my back for easy shooting. And this is very handy except is was sliding down in front of me all the time. And thus could be smashed to pieces while crashing into the bike. So I need a strap that can stay on my back and not sliding down that easy. It's really a pain in the a$$.(burned my neck skin as well!)

I've been reading about the R-strap (?) and I'm not convinced. Any other straps? Does not have to be cheap. And I'm not considering some kind of a bag either, cause then I will never bother to take out the camera.

i bike and take my camera with me as well, however i swing my camera around into my backpack and close the zipper so that the camera doesn't fly out in front of me. works well. give it a shot. i always have a backpack with me when biking.

Yeah, I usually do as well. But not all the time. And when taking photos other people usually take care of my bag for me. My bag does not support the solution you are mentioning her now, so then I would have to buy yet another backpack. So that would not be happening :)

Smugmug's freebie strap is quite good but the POTN strap is very good: http://www.procameragear.com/potn/ (external link)

The POTN strap is amazingly comfortable and not very expensive. I have 3 of them and they stay put.
