Haven't had much luck lately with the birds. When a 55-250 is the longest lens you have getting a good bird shot can be kind of frustrating. I feel almost embarrassed to post any images after seeing the quality of shots in this forum. Also noticed that getting a clear shot is a lot harder in the summer, when the trees are in bloom. Until I get a longer lens I guess I'm stuck with whatever lands on my porch.
I'm fairly pleased with this shot. Mostly due to the contrasting colors which make the Dove stand out. Was shot at ISO 1600 on my Xsi. Lost a lot of feather detail after running some noise reduction though.
Thought this one was nice also. A little too busy though.
I must say I'm pretty jealous of the variety of backyard birds some of you have. I'm stuck with Mourning Doves, Grackles, Starlings, House sparrows, and Robins.
Well thanks for looking.
