I think my baby is a girl we don't seem to have had many boys this year. Can any one tell me how toget a better shot of the Blue Jay. I am shooting out of an open window going from shadow, into at the moment very bright light? All help vey much welcome. Chrissy Earthangel

canonloader Cream of the Crop More info | Jun 30, 2009 10:15 | #8 Good grief. Both Blue Jay shots were at 1/25s. That's way too slow. Not sure how you got those kind of speeds at ISO 400 into bright light. Did you have some kind of dark filter on the lens? Even at f/9, it should have been faster. Try lowering the f/stop to at least 5.6 or lower if you can, to bring up shutter speed. I shoot out my windows all the time, and I always use a tripod in here to hold the camera and lens. That will help. Mitch- ____...^.^...____
