I just did a Amazon checkout with buying from Ace Photo Digital.

I bought a BG-E2N grip (162.58), CTA DB-BP511 battery (9.99) and a OP/Tech 37012 Pro Loop camera strap (12.35)... Total shipped to Florida, $188.53.

I just went looking for the Grip, but the battery seemed to be a good deal (last CTA I bought was $19, from a NY store) and the strap I think is about average price.

If this thread isn't long gone when I see the order, I'll post back with a small review on time to door, packaging... The biggest thing will be the grip, nothing was said if it was Gray or USA, but it is New.

I might pick up a grip, why does it have to be so expensive? :( I might buy a used BGE2 instead for my 30D.

Yea not cheap when new... I thought of buying used as well, but my thinking is for around the going used price of $125, I spend the extra and get a new one.

To add to this, so far so good on this retailer... Good commutation by e-mail, tracking number given, the package should be here on the 7th. I'll update how all was packed and if the order was correct.

Had bad luck with CTA batteries. Ordered two a couple years back and one was completely DOA. Vendor (Overstock.com???) REFUSED point blank to replace it. Took me some time to find and contact CTA for a warranty replacement. CTA did, to their great credit, replace it without complaint. The batteries completely died about two weeks past the one year warranty period.

Sorry to hear that... Both of mine (included the one in this order) seem to be good to go.

I got my order in last night.

Package... Could have been better. They did use "Air tubes", but they were only on the top when the box was opened. Not sure if things moved around to make that happen. Everything was ok, no damage.

What I ordered was in the box... Complete

The Grip... Not sure about the grip being a USA or Grey. All there was for a warranty card was the "cut it off" on the instruction sheet and that said "International Warrenty"... So Grey Market?

All in all not bad... 1 week to get it here and I think I saved about $25 +/- not going with one of the "Regular NY Stores". BUT with that said, I am not sure if I would use the same place for big ticket things, as in Lenses, cameras and so on.
