Hi,
I have noticed that every picture I have taken with my 40D in the past couple months has a tiny red (actually two) pin prick type dots in the exact same place. No matter what lens I use.
Is this a burned out pixel or something?

I'm just curious. me too because youd thinkt hat leaving hte shutter open for long periods of time would make the already "hot" pixels hotter but im not sure if the sensor is actually on at this point. 50D, BG-E2, 24-70mm f2.8L, 50mm f1.8, 580EX2, 430EX2, PW's etc...

The sensor isn't on during the cleaning so I'm curious as to what good leaving it open for so long will do to "fix" hot pixels.
