I won't be upgrading to it. I'm more interested in something along the lines of a 5D Classic or 1Ds MK II. Was just curious what you guys thought.

Mouettus, you buying the 7D locally?

@ Kekumba: yeah... should make up my mind in the next 2 weeks. I was originally waiting for the 60D but I'm kinda tired of waiting. And then I saw that the 7D has all the options I'd want from a camera... hell why not go for it. I'll be good for 5 years or so...

I'm in the Ottawa region and I think I'm gonna go something like Henry's or FutureShop for their price match policy.

Took these the other night to practice my low-light hand held shooting (left the tripod in storage - doh!). This is about 3am shooting through the kitchen window.

Justin D, that first picture of the Toyota would have been really an awesome look if the trunk were not open and those heads in the shot.

Agreed, they liked themselves in the shot though.

Here are a couple more shots. The Torch relay came through North Vancouver this morning.

You going to anything at the Olympics? I hear the camera policy is pretty strict.

C&C welcome on that one.

kept the saturation on the sign, desaturated the rest a bit

Added a little green tone to this one, trying to achieve a garbage, polluted look

My wife and I were hoping to get tickets to something but even the less popular events are really expensive. Gold medal hockey game tickets are going for over a thousand dollars, and those are the "cheap" nosebleed seats. We will probably just enjoy the atmosphere downtown and take in some of the many free activities around town.
