it's pretty hard getting the right exposition and white balance with snow. seems a little dark here but it was a stormy day. good thing I shot RAW and was able to adjust those settings in Photoshop

Yeah I almost pulled the trigger yesterday. There is an open box at 1700$ at the futureshop in the east end (gloucester) if you're interested :p

Haha, not yet. I'll look into a new body in the summer.

Great shots Ashley. What lenses were you using? Looks like you had great seats to the medal ceremony at BC place.

Thanks Justin. We were pretty happy with our seats. The tickets were a gift from the Premier.
I used my 50mm the whole weekend. At times I wished I had a longer lense...but I was able to move around and get up out of my seat..so It wasnt so bad.
I loved your shot of the moon in White Rock. I took a couple of the Science Center on the water but I dont have a trip pod...so they werent worthy of a post ;)

Thoughts/C&C welcome

Oh and a question, I know shooting at a small aperture is good for showing crud on the cameras sensor, but will it also pick up dust in the lens (or between the front element and a UV filter)?
I tried shooting a couple of pics at around f/22 in an attempt to get the effect of a ND filter and all the pics showed a lot of spots, so I had a look at the sensor when I got home and it looks spotless so I'm wondering if its dust etc in the lens or if I missed the crud on the sensor?
