Paul Li- I like the DIY its very good I might give it a try care to share the tips?

Manual focus is good when using shallow DOF to make sure your point is exactly where you want it to be and not the AF point. What do you do in low light situations where you can't AF like:

Yes, nice bokeh with that 50! It's something a lot of people complain about in that lens, so you have a good sample. :)

The bokeh highlights are round when using at or near wide open becasue the aperture blades are completely out of the way. It does start getting uglier as the lens stops down. At f2.8+ those round lights would have be pentagons.

I see. I don't usually have light in my background, so mine are just a blur at the low stops. Interesting.

2 shots from last couple of days.

1. Taken other night looking out my kitchen window at the sunset. Had some nice colors, which disappeared surprisingly fast.
