Thanks:) how would I bring out the eyes?

Although there are many different techniques for this, I've found this to be the easiest and quickest for me. Keep in mind your: noise control, levels and sharpening techniques should remain the same, problably should be done before this. I use CS4 for this technique.

1. duplicate background layer.
2. add a curves mask to the new layer. (hold alt and click the line between the mask and new layer so that the curves adjustment only effects the new layer.)
3. zoom in on the eyes.
4. use the curves mask to bring out what you want in the eyes. (lighter gets lighter, darker gets darker)
5. you can also add a hue/saturation mask here. (make sure you hold alt and click so the the mask only effects the layer your working on.) Play around with the hue and saturation until it looks right.
6. add a hide all layer mask to the new layer.
7. select a soft white brush and paint in the eyes.
8. play around with the opacity of the new layer until you get something that looks natural.

I've found ths is the quickest easiest way for me to bring out eyes in my PP. Of course there are different and better techniques but I can get this one done in just a few minutes and when you are trying to edit a bunch of photo's time adds up.

Good luck post you r pic after you try.

Manually focus on the eyes.
Do this always, for any animal:) Focusing on the eyes make a visual illusion,as if,the whole face is in proper focus. Moreover,we naturally look in a persons eyes, not nose, while talking, right? (Unless he/she has a potato nose :p)

Lol totally understand. Should I turn on manual focus on the lens or turn off AF points?

I use cs4 as well, Not too advanced with it though. I will try and follow these instructions and see what I can come up with. Thanks
