gordon67 I meant to say your skies look really purple on my huey calibrated monitor? The sky has a strong purple hue to it.

I didn't change any of the colour balance in those photos, other than daylight wb preset and curves adjustment to darken the tones, oh and I used landscape mode. Perhaps your huey has given you a bad calibration? https://buttonmasher.smugmug.com/

I'll break the bad boy out in the morning! does your huey allow you to use your monitor's rgb sliders to adjust the white point? this might give you a more accurate calibration. I know when I calibrate mine, my monitor's 6500k preset is way off until I adjust it with rgb sliders. make sure your gfx drivers are up to date too, drivers can sometimes cause a cast. https://buttonmasher.smugmug.com/

Irfanveiw is a free program that I have found to be pretty good at resizing jpegs with, using the resample option. I've been using photo gadget...800x640.

Just ordered the XS and got it for $425, including shipping (kit lens included). Hopefully it will be in by next weekend. I had an XS before, and regrettably sold it. Now I'm back to the DSLR game, and am very excited. Can't wait to post photos. What a great camera! Thank you.
