should I move up to the Canon 70-200 EF 70-200mm zoom 1:4 L USM lens, and sell my 28-135 IS lens, leaving me with my sigma 17-70 lens. I am confused what to do?

Hell yeah get a L!

Just received my 50mm 1.8 lens today and I am so happy to finally own tis lens. This is the first picture I took with it and I am quite happy with the result. I still have to learn so much about this lens and I am so lokking forward to have fun with it. This is my son looking out of the window and I snapped this pic hoping it will get right and I think it`s cool.

hey guys. I plan on selling my Rebel XS, had it for about a year. In very very very good condition. How much do you think i can get for it?

I want a T2i for the video but i feel like it would be hard to trade an XS + Cash for a T2i because its a downgrade.

I was thinking if i can get $350? But i feel like it may be a little high. Can i get some opinions?

Thank you, thank you!

Well, the shot was taken from one of the viewpoints along the road that goes up to one of the ski centres near Vancouver. The views from there are absolutely SPECTACULAR, and I only managed to capture a tiny portion of that with this shot.

Setup:
Rebel XS with Canon 55-250mm lens.

Settings:
65mm, f9, 10s exposure. 5 shots, stitched together in PS.

Post-processing was fairly simple. Once the shots were stitched together, all I did was adjust the blacks slightly with the Levels tool, adjust the colours slightly, upped the shadows 1-2%, and aligned to make the horizon straight.

Anyways... I hope that helps and thanks for your comment.

Thanks for the "behind-the-scenes" facts.

Is that for the body only, or including the kit lens?

Current Rig: Rebel XS with 18-55IS Kit Lens
Next addition: Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD ;)

body only (basically everything that came in the box except for that lens). I sold my 18-55mm lens a while back.

Hmm, that's probably not unreasonable. It would have been a great deal with the lens though

I paid the same amount for a refurbished body with kit lens for my wife just 3 weeks ago. You might be able to sell your camera body on eBay for that price though. Here on POTN it could be difficult.

Just my 0.02

I figured it was probably a little high. $300 or $275 reasonable on POTN? Just trying to get a good feeling around the range i should be pricing it at. I don't want to deal with ebay. After all the fees, its not worth it.

I want it to be a quick sale and i have no extras to offer just the standard manuals and cables, battery, charger, etc.

Using the funds to purchase a T2i so trying to get as much as i can.

Also, off my original questions. For you guys on a cropped camera do you guys prefer the canon 28mm f/1.8, sigma 30mm f/1.4, or canon 50mm f/1.8. I currently have a 17-55mm f/2.8
