Well.... My last post on the 1000d thread, a 550d is turning up tomorrow hopefully of a fellow potn member! I can't afford better ATM but im looking forward to the 7d sensor and ISO capabilities. I think ISO 1600 really limits the 1000d but it's been an amazing learning camera.

You'll be also blown away by the LCD. It has four times the resolution as the xs. Plus the spot metering makes a huge difference in backlit conditions. Then there's the very usable 3200 iso and usable 6400 if properly exposed. And to top it off you get 3.9 frames per second in raw.
