^Those are the ones I have.

My sooner-or-later list includes the tokina 11-16, and replacing the the 18-55 with the 17-55 2.8.

That's what I read somewhere... it's like viral or stuff...
Once you go L, you can't go back.

For Christ's sake, man... I have a 70-300 IS (the non-L, non-DO model - and you guys know that it's a pretty good piece of glass) and I'm desperate to trade it for a 70-200 f/4 IS or an f/2.8 IS II!!!
And I'm nowhere near a Pro...

not I, I just rock a 15-85mm

I got to test out a handful of lens yesterday and have a shopping list already! Unfortunately Crazy_Guitar, you're right. I want the 24-105m f/4 L, and maybe a 70-200mm f/2.8 L but the latter can wait.

This pic was taken with the XS and 50 1.8. There's nothing remarkable about the photo, and I probably choked up on the aperture too much (I think it was about 16), but it sure was a great place to visit. We were there for a week in the summer, and although the temperatures were high (as is typical in a Florida summer), this island was surrounded by so much water that the wind brought the temperature down 15 degrees, and the breeze was great. The weather was outstanding. Very comfortable. The island is small and flat, so you can get anywhere by bicycle in a couple minutes. It also has a perfect blend of locals and tourism. Nothing cheesy and the locals are stoked to see tourists. I could live here.

This spot is at the north end of the island. That boat is only about thirty meters offshore. The water in this particular spot is extremely deep, so you can bring your boat right up to the beach, hang out, and fish deep water. Not a great place to swim (too many currents), but the rest of the island is safe for that.

Much bigger than a Celica, its a 1970's Holden HQ Monaro, being a GTS it should have had a 350 chev.
