I disagree. The hood may be worthless in terms of IQ and the final results...but it provides protection against accidents. Its a cheap piece of plastic...why not protect it a bit?

I have had a fair few cameras, point and shoot and dslr, but decided on canon now as my daughter also uses canon so we can swap/share lenses etc and also some of the great reviews and photos I have seen on the net . I have seen some great shots on here too and really looking forward to getting it. Love the pebbles! jacqui.
