My poor 1000D hasn't been getting much love since I got the 5Dc, fired her up tonight with the 100mm macro and a 31mm ext tube+homemade flash diffuser for my yn560II and chased a spider around the front room trying to get a head on shot or two :D

I keep thinking of upgrading but I have to admit I am still happy with my 1000D it is just in a few areas it lets me down.

Try not to laugh when I post this, but it wasn't until I was able to access my RAW files that I really began to appreciate the Canon XS/1000D. I realize you're all thinking something along the lines of "DUH", but there it's the god-awful truth. Yes, I'm the newbie. :rolleyes:

Here's the backstory. After a year of struggling with a barely functional computer I finally bought a Macbook Pro, which let me compare the jpg versions of my photos with the RAW files I've been saving. Wow, what a difference! Been using this camera for six months, but until now was only viewing the jpg versions. Suddenly feeling less in need of an upgrade. :cool:
