I would love to do photography later on, as a career. The dream is to get those amazing moments in sports, wildlife and other general stuff.
I might try to become a pilot so it could be a second job, we'll see but I definitly want to pursuit it :D

I might be going to an airshow next Sunday. I'll try to borrow a 70-200 IS from a friend and take it along with my 70-300 (mounted on two bodies).
And I might try the 17-40 on a film camera for really close shots!

What do you think?

First two are with friend's 100-400 and third with 70-200.
Sound like a good plan, although I would rent out a 100-400 (fairly cheap). Push pull is nice for airshow and so is the range. If you have cash, then definitely rent a 300 f/2.8 or 500 :D

But if I had 2 bodies or 3, I would keep 100-400 (or longer) on the best body, 70-200 on backup and 17-40 on worst.

I was there in the late '80s. Wish I had been into photography then. Beautiful place.
