Something to do in the rain -- or right after it stops
I pulled out the XS yesterday while it was raining, thinking of a few shots that might be interesting. By the time I started snapping pics, though, the rain had let up. Still, I found some interesting items.

A lonely old bird feeder that actually has green stuff growing out of it. I don't use it anymore cuz every time it rains, the birdseed sprouts, and kinda defeats the purpose. XS with EF 70-210 f/4 (Canon's first EF tele zoom), Av @ f/8, fill flash, ISO 400.

The biggest problem I had getting the above images was the tropical jungle like weather. It was hot, and my eyeglasses and lenses kept wanting to fog up.
In retrospect, if I wanted to do this over, I would have turned the XS's ISO down to 100, cuz there was more noise than I care to see. I was able to get rid of some of it using PSPX2's noise reduction routines, but it would have been better if I would have just taken care of the issue from the git-go.
