Off to the the hospital this afternoon for that CT scan (right side of my neck). I'm quite nervous about the whole thing (not knowing what is wrong is driving me crazy).

Hope all comes out ok. Fingers are crossed for ya.

Well it could be worst. It could all be in cubits or stadions.

Or football fields in the fall, basketball courts in the winter and the distance to first base in the summer. :) Now we need a good measurement for the spring.

What kind of bird? Or would that be a measure like my backyard is 4 sparrows or 2 cardinals wide. :)

I'm not entirely sure; it just sounded silly so I went with it.

I don't know how many here have seen this, but Romy the Bird Man posted these 5D2 videos taken with the 100mm Macro and a 2x TC of bugs, pretty cool macro stuff:

Of course, regarding the current discussion, I don't know how that would translate to inches...makes the brain hurt sometimes...:)

In flying we measure value in "AMUs" or Aviation Monetary Units...

One AMU = $1000 USD

So, the new 1DMkIV is slightly less than 5 AMUs which sounds a lot less painful.

Well, if it's really less painful, care to give me 2 AMUs? There's a certain lens that I'm finding I need. :D

Eh, not so much. When it comes to money, I'm actually very realistic and cautious. Being self-employed for as long as I've been and working in the broadcast industry where some of your best work goes out to Jupiter and beyond, there are very few tangible things on which you can hang your hat.

As weird as it sounds, one of the things I'm most proud of is my credit rating. Up, Down, Thin, Flush... Over 25 years I've managed to build and maintain a credit rating north of 800 with no debt other than a mortgage.

Not an easy thing to do when you might go weeks of non-stop work followed by months of no income at all. The Splurge mentality is a difficult one to fend off but I've managed to do so.

Oh, and while I'm at the keyboard, allow me to apologize if I upset anyone with the "5DMkII Accessory." It wasn't directed at any one individual but it was intended to poke fun at the "Torch and Pitchfork" crowd who seem to think they're now the Saint Georges of technology having slain the 24P Dragon.

Have a wonderful day all...
