It's UDMA like the 5D II (but not the 1D III) but otherwise pretty well matches the 1D III for features. Jon

We want to stop by with the kids, and get back home in time for the Ducks game. We open at 10am. Lightstream wrote in post #8870954 Yup.....awesome reasons....that's the 5D1 and 5D2 for me. Same with 24-105, no matter how they carp about "how IS won't stop motion" and "f/4 sucks". I'd add just one... "That camera feels like it was built for ME." More of the stuff I need, less of the stuff that I don't. I like my 24-105 a lot as well. I find now that I have it, I hardly use any other lens. Of course, I really haven't done much in the way of photography due to time constraints, but it is a great lens.

I was unsure of just how much I would use it Post-Spain. But more and more I am lazy with my photography and if one lens can be used, I will use it. And I don't feel like I am sacrificing any quality along the way with the 24-105.

Funny you asked the way you did as it reminded me of a comedy routine with George Wallace (the comic, not the politician...) The basis of the routine was him running for President and they asked him where would he hope to be in case of a Nuclear Attack. "Far enough away that I can ask: 'What Was That?'" ![]()
