You moved and didn't even know it....cool. Or perhaps Didier hijacked it.

Of course that must be it.

Ah, so.

That was quite a while ago. Now, it's a sub-forum under 'Weddings and Other Family Events.' It's a much kinder, gentler place now.

Good move. I thought my eyes were gonna bleed when I accidentally wandered into the 'business' forum.

I manage far more money at work than these people ever will in their lives, and yet I don't even talk about it, much less talk like I know all about business.

(I talk like I know all about many other things, but business isn't one of them.)

(PS: For the folks who didn't catch the rest of the story, I actually arranged for myself to be banned from that subsection of the forum some time ago. Thumbs up to Tommy for helping me out with that - great customer service here on POTN :) )

I have a definite answer to that question, but it would offend some on this thread. So perhaps I shall pass on mentioning it.

Lab boxer, but a lot of people have said they think he has some great dane.

We know the mom was full bred boxer, but the dad was "some large black lab" that walked into the yard .

You could send the snow my way if you like!

I pushed it off to the east. It's comming around, just will take a little while.

The snow didn't sticka dn it looks as if the rain is moving off to the east. It's starting to get brighter, only 15% gray. :)

I dont want to change the subject but do any of you ladies or gents here use or have used a Epson 3800 printer?

Im REAL close to buying one while theres a $300 rebate.

Theres a couple of useds ones on craigslist for $700 close by but my wife said why buy that when you can get a new one for $885.
Well she has a valid point.

No subject to change...there are a couple of people that belong to f/32 here in Asheville that have 3800s and are very happy with them. The results that they have shared have been pretty impressive for home printing.

Sounds complex. I understand some of the basics of what you've mentioned though. Still, it seems like a lot of voodoo to convert between the two formats.

Sadly, none of this voodoo has changed. Today, we have outrageously complex workflows to convert 30P to 25P/24P smoothly and without stutter. (the simple workflows won't give you that).

Changing framerates requires framestores, "smoothing" and "motion processing". The end result still looks (I was going to insert a term that this forum simply wouldn't accept - think outhouse) ordinary, at best. There are boxen that produce pretty good results, but at a starting price of around $15,000 they'd want to. EG. this (external link). Yes, it looks really really good, but you'll need to sell a leg. There probably won't be much of your arm left below the elbow, either (I just spotted that below is an anagram of elbow).
