Cute shot Sid....with a little cloning and cropping you could be rid of the hand and top of head. ;)

Why did I know the hats were going to be a topic?

I only use Lightroom, hard to get rid of the rope. Cropping would get rid of the cool looking hats.:D:D

Gee Tony...I didn't think zombies moved that fast!

Heh, yeah, they did their best to just stumble and lurch, but I kept trying to get a bit ahead to set up for a shot...

Why would cropping have any effect on the hats? You can crop an image from anywhere...all you would lose is the disembodied hand and the top of the mystery head.

They were leaving the yard at dusk...super dusty and dry....so they kicked up all kinds of dust...add in the exhaust and a dash of flash...and presto.

Hey, too bad you missed it! I was so busy last week I didn't have much time here on the forum, else I would have tried to stir up interest in a Zombie Walk POTN Meetup. There were, BTW, a ton of photogs, including a lot of white 70-200s and plenty of red rings. I was toting a bag with a second body and a couple lenses and a flash with a cord, but things were so hectic that I just never got the chance to switch once the walk got underway, although the flash would have helped a ton. It was the 5D and the 24-70 bare all the way.

It was definitely a beautiful day, as in bright and sunny, but that had its downs since so much activity was in shaded areas -- you ended up with dealing with dark shadows or blown highlights a lot of the time, oh well. It was fun.

I got there a tad late. a mini mini pbnation photo meetup it was pleasent some people had really impresive outfits

Hey all, I've had hectic days and haven't gotten much forum time lately so trying to catch up!

A week or so ago the Zombie Walk events came up. Portland had theirs yesterday afternoon, it swarmed with photogs in-costume and out, I came home with over 500 shots and am just now processing the 400 I have left from the first culling, but here is one that I thought was cute -- an obviously loving couple sharing a Kodak moment:

Nice work Tony. I did the Brisbane Zombie walk yesterday. Got a thread over in the people section, these are some.

I hear you on the lighting, I shot some family stuff at Riley's pumpkin farm yesterday at around noon. Bright sunlight...

Lovely shot Sid, the bright colours work very well.

This was slightly blurred to start with. Does the motion blur added to the Background work?
