I've been having all kinds of strange things going on since upgrading to Win-7 and Fire Fox. For some reason it no longer remembers me when visiting sites. I have to log into the site anew.

Yup, I can check the "remember me" box. Sometimes it remembers my user ID but not password. It's a bit annoying actually. I know it's probably better for security, but this is my home machine and no one but me has access.

Well Peeps, I'm about to log off, make sure I have plenty of layers, throw my gear into the car and head out to the Icy Gorge -- I'm aimaing towards heading up to Vista House to start with and see if the "big picture" is interesting, then try for Briday Veil Falls and then for Multnomah. Hope to be done by sundown.

Later this evening or tomorrow, I'll hopefully have some stuff worth posting!

JJ - Have you checked FF's settings?

Tools --> Options --> Security Tab - and then make sure "Remember password for sites" is checked.

You can also click the "Saved Passwords" button on that tab and monkey with things.

Good luck.

Yup, checked them both just again. "Remember passwords" is checked and when I click to display the saved passwords, the correct passwords shows up.

Sounds like you have clear history when Firefox closes selected in the prefs. That also wipes out passwords and other data, though that can be configured.

Personally, I use Chrome. ;)

Just checked that as well. Clear History not checked, but I sort of figured that as it remembers my history, ust not the password for the site.

Hmmm...

You could try going back to that "Saved Passwords" button, deleting the POTN password, Logging in from scratch, and letting FF offer to remember the user/pass again.

Short of that, I'd recommend a class action lawsuit against Microsoft! :D
