Inspired by this morning's drive I thought it time to start a new photo-challenge-type thread, the aim of which is to make use of that most hideous waste of our lives.....COMMUTING.

So, if you drive/walk/cycle/bike/train to work every day, post your pics here!

My suggestion is that we/you carry one zoom, or two primes (max) and see what we/you can capture that'll add to your photo skills, and reduce the time wasted.

So, here's my starter:
It's still rainy season here, but I saw these delightful kids on their way to Elementary school and happened to have my 100mm on my 30D.
Sooooooooooooooo cute!
:D

Thanks for adding Phil. Great action shot - love the feeling of motion.
And those kids look just as adorable as the ones here!

At the end of my commute in Shibuya, Tokyo - looking back at everyone coming out of the subway.

Fantastic pic there! Love it.
And I like the B&W too. Simplifies what is probably pretty bright and distracting colours.

Being a "floppy" pilot (paragliders!) I forget that you boys need to use those long black things for take-off and landing.
But seriously Jay....WOW!
Lovely picture, though not somewhere I'd like to miss-shoot a landing!!!!!

Thanks mate - the mural is a bit blurry but what can you do with a longish exposure handheld!

The mural looks great in colour - it depicts a person being hit by an atomic bomb. Painted by Taro Okamoto (Ashta no Shinwa)

What a happy, jolly theme to welcome foreigners to the Land of the Rising Sun!

Sounds like either a dream place to live or........somewhere with serious "Stephen King" potential!!!
Great pics and thanks for sharing.

Seriously man, thank you for taking and posting such an exceptional shot!
