What can I say? I find cocks to be very beautiful.

Well here is the start of a new day at the Vatican as a few commuters arrive for another day of salvation.

As far as giving more info on my pics, I'd prefer not to. A picture should either speak for itself or be thought provoking, It may ask more questions that it provides but that is part of its allure. I prefer not to demystify any mystery that the images create.

...AND I'm a lazy cad.

Spoil-sport!!!
It's only stuff like locations and time of year I was asking for, so that other members can widen their view of the world - and where to take great photos.....

The train has been delayed for quite a while.....but they tell me emergency personnel have been dispatched to the scene and regular service will resume shortly

A couple from my daily commute... both taken in the first few months I had the camera, so they're not all that great.

This second one isn't so standard... it was the morning of a major ice storm, and this was what the campus power plant looked like when I got to campus.

Wow it looks chilly there! Really quite haunting additions there - thanks for adding.

And I've news too:
Anyone who has read my comments will know I was commuting 3 hours a day around the bay with the enormous volcano in the middle (pic attached of unique double eruption from last week!) - well now, I'm starting my own school and it's a 10 minute bicycle ride away! I'm so pleased with the difference that will make to my body shape, and it will give me opportunities to add very different pics for this thread too!

Very nice! I envy you the 10 minute bicycle commute: that's a big benefit in a job!

It's actually been pretty hot here recently: up into the 90s a couple of times, and mostly in the mid 80s. Still, that's below average for this time of year, so... Still, I'm missing the winter snow already!

:o

Well now I'm impressed!!!!!!!
I really thought you'd need the 24L for that shot, but I guess the IS on the 24-105 makes more sense....
:D

you saw the exif and noticed the f/4. would a 24L really be better than any other lens at f/4 for this shot? ;)

I was greeted with this a few weeks ago... looking out the end of my driveway. I've been late to work a time or two from stopping to take pictures... worth it every time!

was in Washington, D.C. this past weekend. unfortunately my 17-40 f/4 wasn't quite fast enough for the dark museums. tried to capture a picture of the metro as it was zooming by.
