Hello all,

I am looking for a bag or setup that will allow me to hike comfortably while having my camera ready for quick access. The gear I would like to carry is as follows:

1) Gripped 40d
2) 100-400 mm with hood reversed
3) 17-50 f/2.8
4) 580exII
5) a few batteries and accessories
6) MAYBE, but not likely, an 85 f/1.8

I have narrowed my decision down to a velocity 9x or the think tank pro belt set up with a chimp cage, digital holster 50, and maybe a water bottle holder. I want something comfortable and convenient for long hikes... does anyone have any suggestions? I will likely have the 100-400 mounted so that is why I chose a large holster and velocity.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick!

I have the Velocity 9 Tamrac, and while its a nice bag its not a comfortable bag for heavy gear. Iv yet to use a slingshot style bag that is comfortable with heavy gear and when you move alot.

Kindest

Regards
Paul L.
