I went to the living room and told Mrs. Ick. She is excited for you as well. We then had our standard 5 second conversation about having kids. Maybe someday, who knows.

Tell her thanks also from me ;)

I'll have to send the celebration card....can you get pic texts on your phone?

I am caught up to 2 days ago! WOO HOOO!

<<<< Speed reader extraordinaire.

Okay then....cliff notes version? :p

I'll check em in a bit....while searching through my vacation shots I've realized that I am missing at least a cards worth of shots . I'm hoping that I put them in the wrong folder or perhaps did not download the card yet.

All the grandkids.
Marian is the oldest at (almost) 17, and Mason (Josh is holding him) is the youngest at 7 months.

Now you know why it was fun but hectic.

You are a brave, brave woman! Great looking batch of kids!

So I found out today that my Gram broke her foot on Monday. Lied to my sister as to why her cleaning lady was taking her to the doc, and didn't tell my father till today. This is the woman who had a stroke 8ish years ago, can barely care for herself and refuses to go into a nursing home. Poor Dad. I'm LIVID with her, but it doesn't pay, cuz she doesn't remember anyway.

Sorry Diane

ymmmm I just roasted some Ethiopian Yrgacheffe. (yeah, say that 3x fast) :)

gosh it smells good. I think I like roasting coffee for the smell almost as much as I like drinking it.

btw...my last roast of Kona....magnifique!!

YAY!

Permagrin wrote in post #8288076 (external link)
LOL!! actually I'm on my 7th roast so far (I'm roasting small amounts...5 & 6 oz) but I've pretty much found what 1st and 2nd crack are on my machine. Now I'm learning the machine's profiles. I've been reading all day trying to find out what beans are hard/soft...and which profiles to use. It's taking a bit of research but I can't say when I've enjoyed myself more.

One thing I read about roasting coffee before I started "even the worst home roasted is better than store bought (not including coffee shops that roast their own)" and so far I'm finding all my mistakes (less one) very palatable indeed. It's fun and tasty...what more could one want :D

That is good

I am looking atTHIS (external link)book that I received as a gift. It is a brilliant book of images taken around the world. It features horses in their environments with man. HERE (external link)is one of the photographer's set ups. He carried this giant back drop and would have the horses stand or pass in front. Really great pictures.

Very cool!

A few from Texas.

Texas capital building in Austin. Very beautiful building. The dome is about 7 or 8 stories up.

Ooo... I could go for some Pacific Ocean pea soup.... sitting on the beach listening to the buoys sing and watch the lighthouse try to pierce the fog.... I could use a dose of that.
