After going in and getting him, we got in the truck, and I said "I have to tell you something.... I was almost home, and had to turn around to come get you.".

He said " :| You forgot I was with you? Ow." Then he laughed.

Ok, now, computer geekies, with this one can I connect wirelessly to the internet (provided I also have a router)?? http://www.bestbuy.com …=product&id=1218093382123 (external link)

And, random question....isn't a 2.0Ghz processor slow?

With a wireless router....yes. And no...a 2.0Ghz processor is not necessarily slow...especially if it is a dual or quad core.

What is even funnier, is that I had left a while bit before Lorraine did, and she was leaving the shelter just as I was pulling back in. She rolled down her window and said "Did you forget something?" and I said "Yeah! Tevin!"

She couldn't stop laughing. In fact, hours later, she called me, laughing hysterically, just to tell me that she couldn't stop laughing. She said that the look on my face was priceless.

Kody....are there other pics of you that we could see? Please? ;) Can't see your face so well in that one. Your wife is beautiful!

Sure..

Here's one, with a story..
I bought her a smallish band to go behind her actual wedding ring. It was a surprise I managed to keep for 6+ months. So when it came time to give her the ring, I slipped this on first... She was trying to look gracious but was thinking... WHERE IS MY RING!!!!!

Ahh...good point.

Have a great evening at work!

I came home sick. I worked for four hours, and was feeling worse, so I asked one of my coworkers to cover - and left him to talk to our supervisor, while I went to get some lunch.

W O W.

Just wow.

3 shelter dogs got adopted, and a cat as well.

We gave out 1/3 of our food (we have 2 more events planned for the rest). About 6000 lbs of food given away in 3 hours. It was amazing!
The radio stations were great with the PSAs, and the local TV crew was there at the beginning as well.

I'm exhausted and exhilarated.

That is great news Cat. Sorry you are so tired.

John, that is so awesome!

Why do they choose a dog as a companion?

They choose a dog for the cheetah's companion for several reasons - the most sought after being that dogs can go into an unfamiliar situations, and not be stressed. When the dog and cheetah are bonded, the cheetah picks up that the dog is relaxed, so the cheetah stays relaxed. The second reason being that the dog can be with the cheetah 24/7, which the trainers can't.

When the Zoo is pairing up a dog and cheetah, they usually will go to the shelters and look for a dog that will be outgoing and relaxed in any situation, and they also look at their size. When they duo is paired, usually the dog is larger than the cat and tends to be the dominate animal in the pair. The cheetah never fully realizes that the dog is no longer bigger, and the dog remains in control.

Uh, what's gonna happen when you have 4 extra people in the house....won't that screw with the amount of water you're permitted?

John gets out of taking as many showers the rest of the month (just kidding - we have been coming in below the maximum limit.

I read something about the amount of work it takes to keep the server for this forum running efficiently and not bogging down from the sheer size of this forum. I am really starting to believe that this forum runs quickly and without hiccups because of what Pekka does.

I have been lurking on another Vb based forum that is only about 60% as big based on total posts and it runs like a dog. I constantly have to refresh pages to get them to load and it times out a lot. It is really annoying.

Hats off to the folks who keep this place up.

I second this post.

  He was playing in the cat room with the kittens while we were cleaning up. I forgot he was in there. I'm sure they would have adopted him out at a discount rate.

I actually was almost all the way home, (20 minutes) in my own little world of thought, and Wade called me. I skreeched on my brakes.

You left the lollipop behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow. that is great.

You will not notice any processing speed difference between 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2 Ghz.

Umm...my current processor is 5 years old and I think it's a 2.8 ghz.

At home, yes. Or, if you have a neighbor with an unsecured wireless network, you might not even need the router. ;)

Lol....so, what about wifi hotspots if I ever go somewhere like that?
