For reasons I can't explain, I particularly like the wheat photos, Chris, especially the second one (#6).

Wow Chris. It's amazing that you can make this gawdforsakenwhyamIlivinginthisheattrap valley look so pretty. Nice job!

The weather was very nice over on the coast yesterday, and I still didn't take any pictures except for the one of the baby that I will never see. I think I have issues when it comes to taking the camera out of the bag.

G'morning everyone.

I guess I'm a total dork. I never knew that Bombay and Mumbai were the same. I wonder why they changed the name? Bombay had such a mystique with the name. Mumbai does not.

I'm going to make a WAG here and say it might be that Bombay was the name given to the city during the British colonial period and Mumbai is the proper Hindu language name.

Never mind. I'm wrong...

Thanks, Tiffany. How's the new laptop?

Love it!

I passed by some fields that caught my eye yesterday on the way back from the airport. I wanted to get out there this morning in some good light. Unfortunately, we're having a really hazy morning so the light was very mediocre (but still better than yesterday's mid-day harshness).

I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are, but I liked the colors a lot.

DIANE your before/after is very cool!

G'mae. Nothing happening here. Hubs is off waterfighting and has taken Aidan the sassypants with him. Just chilling with Ian now.

Hey, what photos are you entering in the fair? I'm still not doing it but I'm curious which ones you are entering?

I have to finish that up today. I've picked my 3 color shots. (native hands, a balloon/tulip shot and the Multnomah Falls bridge shot that I took on our get together up ther). Need to pick 3 monochromes.

Thanks. I'm particularly drawn to it as well. I pass by several wheat fields every day on the way to Maggie's day care. I always want to stop and shoot it.

If that was surly you must be one seriously mellow person.
