I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are, but I liked the colors a lot.

Bachelor Buttons, I think they are part of the carnation family. Very pretty, I like the crops also, as in corn and wheat, I have know clue the crops on the images.;)

Terri has shamed me into doing the finances today, then wedding book, then senior, then VBS, and finally, maybe, we'll see, yesterday's shots.

I'll be in the background.

I passed by some fields that caught my eye yesterday on the way back from the airport. I wanted to get out there this morning in some good light. Unfortunately, we're having a really hazy morning so the light was very mediocre (but still better than yesterday's mid-day harshness).

I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are, but I liked the colors a lot.

LOVE this set! The color in the flower field is lovely, the monochromatic wheat pulls me. Nice texture there, too.

Back to house work *sigh*

Sorry, Chris, I meant to comment on your shots as well.

Nicely done! I really like the wheat shots. I've tried to do that numerous times and never came away with anything I liked as much as your shots there.

Hi folks. we had a lovely night at the rodeo. The pro invited me to shoot with him for opening ceremonies which was fun.
After the rodeo we went for a moonlight ride that was really nice. it was a pretty dim night with all the clouds but there was enough light to see in the open fields. The horses see better than we do at night so it was up to them to watch for holes and such. I was afraid Marq, who is often spooky, would be a mess. He was so good. He was calm and really seemed to enjoy the quite ride with loose reins.we took them to a big hay field between a couple bean fields and let them graze while we basked in moonlight. I have mentioned before I love the sound of horses eating. It was really nice to listen to them chewing grass with the ringing of night bugs and frogs all around *sigh* . Coming back we had to go up a very steep hill through the woods. it was pitch black dark. I know from riding this trail so many times every dip and obstacle so I could feel where we were, but see nothing. Marq trudged on up steady as can be. Poor Leyla got a bit scared but we made it

Glad you had a lovely evening! Hope today is fun!

G'morning everyone.

Well it's official. Hale can now escape her dog play pen. It only took Kona 2 weeks to figure out how to escape (we've had Hale 8 weeks now). Since Kona's crate is destroyed, they spent the night together in her crate. Then before Dan left for work (at 4:30 a.m.) he put her in her pen and Kona in the garage (they do reasonably well alone when they are separated). Alas, she escape and they ran rampant. Figured out how to open the huge rubbermaid container of catfood. I'm sure they dined well Those crates are supposed to be here the 4th. Suddenly I'm looking forward to them very much.

Neil, I read Kona's fortune cookie...it said he was going to travel to many lands in the near future. I can only assume he's going to come to live with you. I'll mail his crate.

LOL, sorry its been a rough day. ((Permie))

I too am drawn to the wheat but the flowers are also quite pretty. I guess I'm not a huge fan of vignettes, but in this case, it seems to work well.

Surely Surly. That's me.

'Scuse me? And um, surely you're not Surly Shirley. Yes, that amused me and I chuckled.

If that was surly you must be one seriously mellow person.

I'm told, by a pretty reliable source, that she is. ;) Mostly. Till she goes for the knees, then watch out. ;)
