oh no, does Mom need to go resue Dad?

Nope. Never! He never rescues me.

It's actually partially my fault...I failed to mention that Aidan napped until 5pm.

Certain laws and regulations obligate me to check in whenever possible, even if I have nothing to say or contribute to any part of the ongoing conversation.

Which is pretty much all of the time.

Hi.

Liar! You contribute lots!

Yeah, the corpse was a little ick. The circumstances though....funny! My sitter (who's 13) apparently nearly stepped on it, but in true "setting a good example" style, didn't allow herself to wig out. The kids were with her, and apparently Blondie was doing enough wigging for the 2 of them.
Eeew. I am SO sick of ants in my house. They're just little teeny ones but still. And, there's this weird bug that looks like it has pinchers on its butt..they freak me out.

Yeah, on the work thing, not likely anytime soon, I'm afraid. Found out Wednesday they are dropping the group health. Blue Cross Blue Shield wants to raise the premiums 40%. They are keeping us going until September to give us time and options for private insurance. Guess the health of our group along with the current headlines has prompted Blue to try to get some more money while they can.

Wow...that sucks and blows. I hope you get a raise to cover the lost benefit.

And, cool links!

But Tiff, you see it every day.

That's spooky, like a haunted Tiff.

Set them both down with Jack and a couple of shot glasses. I guarantee that both will be asleep before long.

Lol...the avi is different....and no, I do not see a tiff with makeup on every day.

Lol on haunted.

Yeah, I don't think they'd do well with the jack.

G'mae folks.

Not a peach tea person....snapple raspberry iced tea is the bomb...lipton doesn't have the same kick.

Hi JJ, whats happening today in your neck of the woods?

Rain today. :( 18% gray. :(

But the good news.. I forgot to share. I've had a bug project this summer. We bought some Mantis cases and hatched a bunch of mantids for the garden. For a while we had hundreds of them all skittering around. It then got unseasonably cold and two huge storm right one after the other wiped out our mantids. For the last two weeks we have not been able to spot a single one.

Well last night I was out in the garden shooting some bugs when I spotted one, then another, then a third. The little guys have gotten quite a bit bigger and are fast as he!!. I was able to snap a few pics but none really came out well. Anyway, looks like the mantis project is back in business.

Here is an old snap of one of my babies just hatched. They were small then, about the size of a mosquito. Now they are about 1.5 inches long and turned green.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Todays helpful tip: If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's probably an electrical problem.

Yes, we definitely need to do a meet and greet in the near future. You aren't that far away at all. Maybe a trip down to NYC should be on the cards soon!

Boston is nice in the autumn, that is certain. I'd have thought that New York beats Masssssachusssssettessss for beauty hands down. Though the Cape is at it's warmest in late Sept / Oct also, and I would like to get down there!!

They are really good bugs though. They are voracious bad bug eaters.

Good tip. I'm doing carpentry and electrical work in the bathroom this weekend. I'll have to keep the hammer thing in mind.

I have not had health insurance for years now, mainly because it is just too expensive for individuals or small companies, instead opting to dole out for what is needed. Our health care does not cover eyes, teeth or prescriptions.

On the iced tea thing, I prefer plain old iced tea, not that sweetened fruity stuff that comes in bottles. I will drink it, but it is not very thirst quenching like the real stuff, with some lemon slices in it. :D

 yeah ok.

2nd tip not in anyone's siggy: Avoid cutting yourself whilst slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold the vegetables whilst you chop.
