Yeah, on the work thing, not likely anytime soon, I'm afraid. Found out Wednesday they are dropping the group health. Blue Cross Blue Shield wants to raise the premiums 40%. They are keeping us going until September to give us time and options for private insurance. Guess the health of our group along with
the current headlines has prompted Blue to try to get some more money while they can.

This so sucks. I will stifle a full blown rant. I am happy with my insurance and medical care. We pay a lot, but Leyla's employer picks up a bit too as part of the plan. Still, given I have over 16k in prescriptions a year and a lot of other very expensive procedures, it is a great deal. I am sick at the idea of the government boogering with my health care. There is nothing they do good. Cheaper maybe but that just means a cut in service. Plus higher taxes to pay for the millions of bureaucrats who will decide what health care a Doctor can administer and how much they can charge. It is really terrifying after watching the pitiful neglect in care my sister is struggling with under the U.K. program. *deletes next 6 paragraphs*

I have not had health insurance for years now, mainly because it is just too expensive for individuals or small companies, instead opting to dole out for what is needed. Our health care does not cover eyes, teeth or prescriptions.
Classic socialized medicine. It's great if you are really dying and make it to the top care level. Generally very good medicine at that level. God forbid you are injured or sick and need timely care and diagnostics though.
Gaaa, be back in a better frame of mind, sorry to sound ranty.
