After numerous years shooting medium format, I purchased a 5DMII, six months ago to replace my 20D, and Bronica ETRSi. After all the comments/reviews/etc from everyone on the forums, I purchased my first L lens last week: the 35mm. I know that I will probable use it a lot more, for awhile, than my other lenses. Can't wait for my next L, when I get the money. Could be a X-mas present to myself, or Father's Day next year. Thanks to all who encouraged me to purchase it.

I see you have 135 f1.8. Isn't it the old version of 135L (actually f2.0) ???

I feel the L series is the way to go....I know it is tempting to look at some of the others but once I purchased by first L....it sure makes me think. I am looking at a 100mm macro now and have thought that it is not an L but surely is close to it... But still, the L is what I keep going backto

Mainly ANALOG..... but I still have a few digitals hanging around

yes, it is one of the older lenses. It is not a L, but it has been a great lens for me. I use it as my standard portrait lens, followed by my 85mm lens. One of these days, I may replace it with the L version.

35L and 85 1.8 is a great two-lens combo for fullframe (: Enjoy your purchase!

Just wanted to let you all know. I cannot take the 35L off my camera. There is nothing wrong with it. It is just toooo good to take off. It is fast. It is light. It takes pictures that I could not take before. Luckily, I do not need to use another lens until this Saturday. "Went to L". Will go back for the 200L before X-mas. Thanks to all for sending me there. An old dog can still learn.
