A selection of pictures from the Rally Stage of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Generally it was nice and sunny. The pictures were taken at two locations on the stage, firstly at the yump and further up the stage at a twisty section. This resulted in me, the cameras and bag getting liberally covered in chalk dust.

So onto the pictures,

1 Porsche 911

As ever C&C welcome. All taken with a 50D and 100 - 400 lens, I would add they all uncropped apart from the mini picture which was to remove a couple of marshals.

Thanks very much for the recent comments.

If you're interested there are loads more on my flickr pages.

I think this forum, more than any other I have been on, has helped me a lot in getting to the position where I am really satisfied with some of the pictures I take.

So thanks for the inspiration!

Like the Subaru and the C4 because of the aggressive style - bum out opposite lock - classic rally shot.

Lovely set there Robert. I unfortunately missed the Goodwood FoS this year which I was disappointed about - will hopefully return next year. It's just a fantastic opportunity to see such a range of beautiful machinery on display and in action.

My favourites are the Porsche 911, Lancia Fulvia and the Citroen C4, but all are great.

How do you find the Canon 50D on battery life? I have a 40D and was considering upgrading to the 50D, but I have heard rumours that they eat the batteries much quicker than a 40D? You're certainly getting some great results with your set-up though.

Nice set, I especially like the Chevette HSR. Do you mind if I take a copy for personal use?
