No I don't have a Mk II. I switched to Nikon. I am using a D300. The auto ISO works like a charm. This camera still amazes me. I switched from the 50D. I have NO regrets. I think Canon needs to slow down. It doesn't matter how fast you release a camera model if the model isn't right...

So what was the tipping point that made you switch?

The feature does work. I agree that it should be more programable, but the feature is not broken.

sure, provided you like wide open lenses all the time, or slow shutters if you shoot wide, sure it works. But yeah, that means by working it doesn't work for me, not even a little bit.......

IQ of the 50D when I was shooting with the 17-55 2.8 IS and the 70-200 2.8 IS. I know it wasn't the lenses as the images were great with the 40D.

This thread brings to mind the age-old adage.."You can't please all of the people, all of the time". I think Canon has pleased the majority of the people with this camera. The great thing about a free society is that you have choices..If a camera doesn't do what you want..choose another one....

I have not used the Auto ISO feature even once because I am too much of a control freak. But it seems it SHOULD be working properly. I didn't buy the camera for Auto ISO, though.
