DPP 3.6.2 crashes every time -unusable

I am on a mac G5 PPC and 10.4.11 with DPP 3.6.2

I cannot use DPP, it just hangs as soon as I try to do anything with it

any thoughts anyone?

Does it start up?
Try thrashing the .plist file (prefs)...

Yes it starts up and trashing the .plist was the first thing I treid

Sorry, on a PC, can't help. But have you tried posting this in the Computer subforum of this forum? The concentration of computer geeks may be a little denser in there. Hope that helps a little.

Mac OS 10.4.11 on G5 dual PPC 6GB RAM

Opens fine. I resize window, and browse to RAW_IN folder
First tie I did this te beachball spun but then it was creating thumbs ( large folder) so I left it and it was usable after awhile.

Decided to change prefs. set to Wide Gamut and a few other bits and pieces.
Hung with beachball

Tried force quitting and relaunched. Resized window again, prefs again etc. HUNG
forced quit
trashed prefs restarted + relaunched, opens ok but hangs soon after
Activity monitor says zero activity for DPP

It was doing quite well until it got about half way scrolling to create and get through the thumbs (small) - slowly got slower and slower with the beachball taking longer and longer then finally CRASH
